Now that you have heard the new album would it change your previous
top 10 fave BB album list, and if so what number would you place it at.

Sunflower1 I never really thought about compilations but as long as they are your fave
albums it does not really matter. I play Made In Usa a lot too, together with Ten Year
Harmony they are my fave compilations. Scooby1970 every album in your top 10 contains
my favourites though not in the same order.

Thanks for your response and since you said it was okay to list compilations my list has changed. I have edited my original post.

I'm surprised at how many people have stuck the MIU album in their lists. Not that it is a bad record, just that in the Beach Boys career it is not widely perceived as one of their better releases and it came at a difficult time for the group.

For what it is worth, my top 10 would include the following (in no particular order):
20/20
Pet Sounds
Sunflower
Today
Summer Days (And Summer Nights)
All Summer Long
Shut Down Volume II
Surfin' USA
Wild Honey

That's nine and for the tenth I would probably have to go with That's Why God Made The Radio, although Love You and Surf's Up narrowly missed the cut. Ask the question again in a month's time and you would probably get a different answer. There are good tracks on all the albums (even Summer In Paradise) and it is really difficult making the choice. Hell, I even feel guilty not including some albums - sorry, Little Deuce Coupe and Surfer Girl.

I think every album they have put out is unique in there own way. The one's that were left of my list I don't care for too much, although there me be a couple tracks that I do like on those albums. There's a strong California feeling on the M.I.U. Album. The tracks I love are She's Got Rhythm, Come Go With Me, Peggy Sue, My Diane and Match Point of Our Love.
