they are all great!! I don't think Carl gets enough credit for his singing. There is no other person that could've sang God only knows except Carl.

I'm with you on this one Grover. The gossamer phrasing that Carl sings almost always makes me want to kiss my girlfriend if she was here with me. Its the song I would choose to have played at my wedding. I'd also choose Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell as its what happens when one is 55 . Confuzzled I love the word Bernie, it sounds very 60ish :) Your a right dolly bird , don't you know B)

Yeah I had a REALLY hard time to choose, lol. It had to have been between Good Vibrations, I can hear Music, and God only Knows, which I chose. I didn't ever really like Wild Honey, I don't know why!

Theres no question about it... god only knows is the pinnacle of his singing for me. Its just perfect, in a way that would take me about 5 hours to fully describe to give it justice. So i wont bother lol

I voted for I Can Hear Music. Always loved this song, and although I almost chose "God Only Knows", I'm gonna stick with my final answer! lol

Well the tracking vocal by Brian is quite good also B) Although I voted for GON, I also like Trader and Feel Flows . I really thought his solo albums were trash ;)

The first one has SOMETHING going for it, but the second one has very little to recommend it, I feel.
IMO Carl's finest hour away from the Boys is the Beckley-Lamm-Wilson album, what I've heard of it - wonderful, heart-rending stuff...

Your quite correct about BLW as it's a great album. I really didn't care for either Carl solo albums and it surprised me to say as he put out the worst of all solo BB albums. You should know John I am quite opinionated and swing almost all the way so even your something, doesn't make me go back and take a listen ;)

Macdaddy,Carl has the voice of an angel yet chooses material that doesn't show his strengths. The albums to me sound like any pseudo soul singer with really blase songs. I tried to give these CD's a chance by thinking its my mood today, I'll listen in a week. But no its just not Carl. I never would have thought Dennis had the best CD's after Brian and then Carl, its kind of sad in a way. BUT the Beckly, Lamm & Wilson CD has all the things missing from Carls solo albums , isn't life strange ?
