What and where is your favorite fast food joint (place)?

Here are my two favorites.

Pluck U's in Greenwich Village, NYC for Buffalo Wings. This place is extremely popular with New York University students. They have barbecue & honey mustard chicken wings, but thy are known for the Buffalo Wings which comes in mild, regular, hot and... death! Just thinking about it is making me salivate!

Top Dog's (original location) in Berkeley, California. Anyone who lived in the area or went to the University of California knows about this place. A lot of them make a pilgrimage back whenever they're in the San Francisco area. They have several types of Hot Dogs, Kielbasas, Bratwursts and other sausages cooking on the griddle at the same time, each absorbing a little bit of the others flavors. Served on a toasted roll. Yummy!!!

I suppose there's only one - mostly we cook at home or go to posh restaurants. tongue.gif It's a snack bar in our area (one of many throughout Rotterdam) where you can buy what the Dutch call Shoarma. It's a ten-minute cycle ride away and very handy for that occasional late night/early morning snack...

If pizzas come under fast food, there's always Angelo Betti, the best pizza restaurant in town, run for generations by the same Italian family, although they all speak with a thick Rotterdam accent these days... cool.gif

Sounds yummy! The most similar thing we have near where I live are gyros and I have to drive 30 minutes for them. I miss NYC, where I can get food from almost every part of the world within a short walking or driving/bus/subway distance from home or office.

Pizza fall under fast food, especially at a place where they can be bought by the slice. Again, I miss NYC. They have the best pizza's (outside of Italy... Or then again, just the best pizza's, period.)!

Just found out a couple days ago that in South Philly, there's a pizza place that sells a cheesesteak wrapped in a slice of pizza instead of a roll; they call it a "South Philly taco."

Sounds like a slice of heart attack or at the very least, cholesterol delight! What's the name of the place? I'll have to stop by when I'm in Philly!

I had to look those up. Teriyaki looks yummy, even after a large breakfast. Nestling in a bed of jasmine rice perhaps...? tongue.gif

Pasties are yummy too. wink.gif

According to the excellent article 25 Things Betcha Didn't Know About Cheesesteaks, "a 'Philly taco' is a Jim's cheesesteak rolled up in a slice of pizza from Lorenzo and Sons."

This article is pretty good too:
